The night itself was one to remember for the cast and crew of the musical Hamilton, which walked away with no less than seven awards. Showforce was thrilled to see Hamilton do so well, especially since the team assisted with the renovation of Victoria Theatre in preparation for the arrival of Hamilton back in November.
Highly experienced in theatre work, Showforce was a natural choice to support long standing client, Limited Edition with the challenge of readying the Royal Albert Hall for the prestigious Olivier Awards.
The Showforce crew assisted with everything from unloading trucks containing lighting and staging equipment, to erecting pop up tents in and around the venue. Showing a tireless commitment to ensuring the show went ahead as planned, a team of 20 crew worked over two days on a wide range of tasks including building, rigging, lighting and staging.
Thanks to the team’s experience, commitment, professionalism and hard work, the client was extremely happy with Showforce’s contribution. Commenting on their contribution, Limited Edition’s James Barnfather said: “Limited Edition Events provided production services to the Olivier Awards, in its second year at the Royal Albert Hall. Once again, Showforce was our de facto crew company to assist the onsite tech team with the build and de-rig. Unlike the glorious weather of 2017 this year’s event was a more ‘damp’ affair. The Showforce team were a great asset to have onsite and when challenged with a very tight de-rig under the strict curfews in place at the RAH they came through with flying colours.
