THEATRICAL START TO 2025
Building on its distinguished history in delivering experienced crew for stage productions and musical theatre, Showforce has been treading the boards for numerous clients over the last few months. Recent theatrical related performances include Oliver!, Why Am I So Single?, Lion King and working alongside the team at the newly opened Sadler’s Well East.
For Cameron Macintosh’s Oliver!, our crew were onsite at the Gielgud Theatre for a month assisting with a variety of tasks during the show’s load in. These included:
- Unloading various trucks of lighting and sound equipment which was then distributed to the correct location in the theatre
- Supporting the installation of video wall and the set and stage
- Traffic marshalling vehicles during load in to ensure safety across the site
- Assisting with the build and siting of production desks
- General support across the theatre
Working with Literally Bye at the Garrick Theatre, our crew carried out the load in, rehearsals and load out for the four-month run of popular musical Why Am I So Single? with more than 100 crew supplied.
A team of crew has been onsite at the Lyceum Theatre on a regular basis during January assisting the in-house team with moving the Lion King’s props and costumes around the venue.
With the opening season of Sadler’s Wells East now imminent our crew have been working alongside the team at the theatre assisting with its new system, removing the pit cover and the build and break of the steel flooring for performances.
