Showforce wins Middle East’s first crewing award at TPiMEA Awards

Showforce has been named Favourite Crewing Company at the 2026 TPiMEA Awards, becoming the first recipient of a dedicated crewing company award in the Middle East.

The award was presented at a brilliant evening at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday 10th September, bringing together the great and the good from across the region’s live events industry.

Representing Showforce on the night were founder and CEO Ian Spendlove, group managing director Gemma Charity, head of account management Ann Dacumos, crew operations manager Muhammad Fareed and senior account handler Izceah Unique Palmes.

The win marks an important moment for Showforce and the region’s wider crewing community, recognising the essential contribution made by the thousands of crew and office-based team members who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

Ian Spendlove comments: “This is an incredibly proud moment for everyone at Showforce. For the first time since the Middle East’s events industry began, there is an award that specifically acknowledges the work of crew.

“Over the years, thousands of crew and office-based team members have supported organisers, promoters, agencies, venues and suppliers in delivering the incredible events for which this region has built a global reputation. This award belongs to every single member of our team, past and present.”

Showforce also played an important role behind the scenes at the awards, supplying crew to support the event as Coca-Cola Arena’s in-house crewing provider.

It was a proud evening for the wider group too. Showforce’s sister company, THE Production TEAM, sponsored the Event Project Manager of the Year category, with Ann Dacumos presenting the award to winner Ignacio Martin Baez.

The team was also delighted to see several Showforce clients recognised during the evening. PRG Event Services, Clair Global, Creative Technology and Unusual Rigging were named the region’s favourite lighting, sound, video and rigging companies respectively, while MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2025’s Green Beast Programme received The Green Award.
