Showforce delivers a double at London’s Premier Padel P1

Showforce provided crewing support to two long-standing clients for the inaugural London Premier Padel P1 when it was held at Olympia from 4^th – 9^th August.

Bringing together the biggest names in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, the event combined six days of elite padel competition with live music, premium hospitality, fan zones and a vibrant social programme.

Showforce worked for both G Management Services appointed on behalf of event organiser Sela, and Arena, which was responsible for building the event’s seating.

Onsite from 27^th July to 12^th August, the Showforce team included a crew manager, crew chiefs, crew, forklift and IPAF operators supported the build, show days and derig for G Management.

During the build, the crew supported site logistics and assisted vendors and suppliers with deliveries. Their varied brief included installing drapes, setting out furniture and positioning barriers and queuing lanes throughout the venue.

Once the competition began, Showforce worked under the direction of the stage management team from longstanding client HGEP. Show-day responsibilities included positioning the interview board following each match, ensuring players left the court safely and setting out the winners’ podium and plinths ahead of the final.

The team’s flexible approach was recognised by G Management:

Alongside this, Showforce supported Arena with the construction and derig of the event’s seating. Forty crew, including climbers and forklift operators, worked on the build between 27^th July and 1^st August, followed by a 33-strong team who returned for the derig once the event ended.

Across both contracts, Showforce delivered 2,044 crew hours, supporting the event from the earliest stages of the build through to the final elements of the derig.
