Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2025

Showforce’s crew headed to Silverstone this July to support Library Productions with the delivery of the main stage and additional production elements at this year’s Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

Four days of live music were added to the event in 2023 and our experienced stage crew has supported Library Productions and its suppliers with the delivery of the main stage ever since. Our crew were onsite for 10 days assisting with the build, show days and de-rig.

Our primary team worked with Library Productions and their key suppliers including Colour Sound Experiment, MOJO Barriers, Up-Set Staging, BPM SFX and 4Wall, assisting with the full main stage operation. This included the installation of the video wall, lighting rig, FOH setups and changeovers between a high-profile music line-up that featured Sam Fender, Raye, Fatboy Slim and Becky Hill.

Showforce crew also delivered key show roles including followspot operation, artist changeovers and stage management duties.

Working on a rotating shift pattern, our day crew supported rehearsals, site readiness and artist liaison, while the night crew de-rigged acts post-performance and set the stage for the following day’s schedule. On race day, a specialist Showforce team deployed risers on the F1 grid for Fatboy Slim’s post-race performance and Becky Hill’s rendition of the national anthem.

Elsewhere onsite, our crew supported Creative Technology with the installation of large-format LED screens on the Aramco Fan Zone stand. We also had a dedicated runner assigned to the Eat to the Beat team, assisting with logistics, last-minute pickups and deliveries.

Crew numbers varied throughout the event, with approximately 10 crew during the day and up to 27 at night. Additional responsibilities included supporting site infrastructure, setting up catering tents, preparing artist VIP lounges and handling barrier deployment.

It was a brilliant weekend topped off by Britain’s Lando Norris taking the top spot on the podium and securing his first home race win.
