PANTOLAND

Showforce made a welcome return to the London Palladium this December, supporting long standing client HGEP with the delivery of a surprise Red Carpet event that saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend a special performance of Pantoland. Hosted by the National Lottery, key workers and their families were invited along to thank them for their efforts in keeping London going during the coronavirus pandemic.

A team of 12 Showforce crew, including two crew chiefs, were onsite on 11th December assisting HGEP with preparations. This included setting up barriers, assisting with the install of lighting equipment and arranging the many Christmas trees that created the backdrop for the red carpet. In addition, four crew members made the short journey up Regent Street, on foot, to collect a sleigh from the third floor of Hamleys and return it to the venue’s loading bay. All the children in attendance would receive a surprise gift from the famous toy store.

The Showforce crew adhered to Covid-safe working protocols throughout.

Pantoland, billed as a celebration of pantomime, featured a host of stars including Beverley Knight, Julian Cleary, Elaine Paige and Ashley Banjo.
