When it comes to delivering opening and closing ceremonies for major sporting events, Showforce is the go-to company. And let’s be honest performing live in front of both sold-out stadiums and global TV audiences in their millions is not for the faint hearted. Since our very first foray into ceremonies at the Athens Olympics back in 2004 our experience and reputation has grown exponentially.
2024 was another huge year of sporting successes for Showforce where we delivered no less than 24 ‘on-pitch’ activations, presentations and ceremony style events across the globe.

Our crew were in action on the pitch at pretty much every major UK football presentation, including UEFA Champions League Final, FA Cup Final, FA Community Shield, EFL Play Offs, Barclays Women’s Super League, Premier League Summer Series, along with several high-profile Premier League ties. And our footballing prowess wasn’t confined to the UK, we also provided crew for the pre-match show and awards ceremony at the AFC Championship League Final 2024.
In Rugby we were involved in the Guiness Six Nations in the UK and France, the Women’s Six Nations trophy presentation in Bordeaux, the Big Summer Kick Off at Twickenham Stadium and the Autumn Nations Series.
With Esports on the rise, 2024 saw us involved in the Esports World Cup in Riyadh and EA Sports FC Pro World Championship in Berlin.
When the NFL headed to London in October, the Showforce crew were there to support with the on-field entertainment for each matchup – next stop the Super Bowl! Continuing on an American sporting theme we also supplied crew for Major League Baseball games held in London during the summer and have been in action for NBA Basketball in Dubai.
There was also plenty of boxing action throughout 2024, in May we worked alongside Done + Dusted on the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight in Riyadh and in September we headed to London’s Trafalgar Square and Wembley Stadium for the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois bout. These events coupled with several UFC and WWE fights round out our combative performances.
We finished off our year of sporting excellence with an impressive showing at the Global Champions Arabian Tour, where a team of 100+ crew were assembled in just five days to deliver a spectacular closing ceremony!
